Jan Linver, Co-Vice President

Janice Linver (Jan) is a retired Human Resource and Management Executive. Born in Ohio, she was recruited to California where she provided her HR expertise, management and leadership abilities in pharmaceutical/biotech companies for the last 35 years.

As the eighth employee of a Hoffman La Roche start-up, Janice served as the HR and Management professional for Roche Molecular Systems. Over a twelve-year period, she recruited and hired the many scientists and doctors who developed the first Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) products that revolutionized the world of biomedical research and forensic science.

Jan was then recruited as an HR Executive to Avigen Biotech during the 9/11 crisis and she was employed there for nine years.

At Proteolix Inc, Janice first served as a consultant and then was hired as Vice President of Human Resources. When their new cancer drug for Multiple Myeloma was approved by the FDA, Onyx acquired Proteolix, Inc and Jan happily retired to travel the world with her husband.

Janice has both a Bachelors and Masters degree in management from the University of Phoenix.  She has added value to four non-profit boards as a volunteer, officer and/or President.

As well as an HR-Management consultant, Jan has taught Masters level college classes on management, leadership and human resources subjects.  She enjoys sharing her expertise with others.

Collecting art has been a life-long adventure. Janice is a “Techie” who also enjoys music, photography nature, traveling, research, writing, museums and live theater.

Feeling that family always comes first, Jan delights in spending time with her five Ohio and California children, six grandchildren and three sisters.
