Holly Ilfeld, Co-Vice President
Holly Ilfeld is a retired Clinical Psychologist with a Ph.D. from UC Davis. Before receiving her Ph.D. She received a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and worked as an administrative assistant to the chair of the Developmental Psychology graduate program of the City University of New York. After moving to Ohio, she became a social worker for the county and received a Masters degree in Experimental Psychology. She then moved to Sacramento and became a research Psychologist at UC Davis, evaluating the county mental health programs. After receiving her Ph.D., she continued to work in community mental health. She taught at American River College part-time. She was then hired by Kaiser to help start and evaluate their behavioral medicine program. After leaving Kaiser she started her own private practice as a Clinical Psychologist. Along the way, she did research and presented papers at conferences, published papers on program evaluation and child custody.
Holly also served on the boards of the Interfaith Service Bureau, the Bereavement Network of Sacramento, and Congregation Beth Shalom. Holly is happy to live in Sacramento and feels so fortunate to have all of her grandchildren living here. She enjoys singing in the choir, being on the Wise Aging Committee of NCJW providing seminars on various topics, being a sister in the group Sisters of Salaam Shalom. She also loves cooking, theatre, dance, Opera, yoga and Qi Gong and has earned a certificate in Chinese medicine.
